It’s done! It’s really done. I decided I wanted to complete my Project Life albums by the end of the year and I did it!
This might seem like a very small thing to get excited about, and I suppose in the scheme of things it is, but I have two things to say about that:
- Who says there’s anything wrong with getting excited about small things?
- This feels like a run up to bigger things. Making a plan, committing to it, and seeing it through is my chosen M.O. for 2016 and beyond, and I’ve shown I can do it.
So here’s what my album looks like on the inside:
I used a few papers and motifs repeatedly to emphasise the way December feels one big continuous festival of celebrating and eating. The gold, red, white, and hearts are pleasingly seasonal without getting into all-out Santa territory.
The 8×8 has been a fun experiment, but I’m definitely going back to 6×8 for 2016. I’ll also be doing One Little Word in a 6×8 album, so apart from minis, it’ll be my standard format for the time being.
Thanks for all your encouraging comments here and on instagram. It’s lovely to have such kind and positive feedback find it’s way back to you when you put what you’ve made out into the world.
Here’s to even more making in 2016!
